About Us
SVS College of Engineering, Coimbatore, an ISO : Certified Institution affiliated to Anna University is one of the foremost institutions founded by Thiru.S.Chandrasekaran. It was established in the year under Sri Velammal Subbiah Educational Trust, located at .KM from Coimbatore - Pollachi National Highway, is continuously being monitored by the Vice Chairman Mr.B.Raghavendran. The courses offered in SVSCE are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. SVSCE offers six undergraduate programmes and four postgraduate programmes in Engineering.The campus in spread over acres of land utilized for the College Hostels, Play Fields and Gardens. SVS is a home to aesthetically designed buildings with state of the art computer and internet centers, Modern workshops, state-of-art laboratories, lecture halls, Seminar halls, well stocked libraries, sports and games fields in addition to gymnasium. Apart from exemplary infrastructural facilities, the institute also offers a host of allied resources – a stationary store, ATM, a modern cafeteria, reprography center and transportation facilities – that go on to make the SVS experience truly enriching. The college has signed MoU with research organizations and industries in order to promote closer interaction in the areas of technology development, training of students and development of state-of-art centers. Each department conducts annually at least one National Conference/Seminar/Workshop for effective dissemination of state-of-art technologies and research findings for the benefit of faculty and industries. Entrepreneurship Development Centre, Faculty Development Centre, Higher Education Cell and Research and Development Centre are the hallmarks of the Institute.
