About Us
St. Mary's Convent College, regularly casually alluded to just as Ramnee, is an all-young ladies live-in school situated in Nainital, Uttarakhand at a height of 2,000 meters above MSL in the midst of the Kumaon Hills, that gives tuition based school training to young ladies from prep. evaluations to XII under the ICSE board Set up by Mother Salesia Reiner in 1878, St. Mary's Convent is a Roman Catholic establishment managed by Sisters having a place with the CJ(Congregation of Jesus) request established as Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary (until 2003), by Mother Mary Ward, an English woman, in the seventeenth century. The sisters of this Congregation began working in Patna, Bihar in 1853. Mother Salesia Reiner, at that point Mother Superior of St. Joseph's Convent Patna, opened an establishment in Nainital. Nainital was the late spring capital of the North Western Provinces and throughout the late spring was frequented by travelers just as common and military authorities. The presence of the sisters made instruction more advantageous for both the neighborhood individuals and normal guests. Subsequent to conquering the underlying troubles, a group of 8 sisters began a school with a couple of day-researchers in the long stretch of May 1878.
