The Congregation of The Carmelite Religious was founded by Mother Veronica of the Passion on July 16, 1868 , in France . The Jalgaon city was in dire need of an English medium school , and the request for the same was made by the then District Collector , Shri. N. Rama Rao and Mr. Suresh Jain . Thus on 4th August 1980 St. Joseph’s Convent High School was established which consisted of Kindergarten to Std VII , which started functioning in the basement of Maheshwari Society Building offered by Mr. Suresh Jain. On 16th September 1981 with the help of Mr. Woodman (MLA), plot No. 102 was secured for the School and the convent building from the Municipality . Three acres of land was sanctioned vide resolution No. 372 dated 18/05/1981. Having affiliated to CBSE ( Central Board Of Secondary Education) St. Joseph’s Convent Senior Secondary School was founded by the CCR with an express purpose of educating both girls and boys of the locality. With the years of setting and experience, the school endeavors to provide quality education in keeping with the national aspirations.
