"South Indian Bank" was one of the first banks in South India, founded during the Swadeshi movement. The bank was founded to realise the dreams of a group of business men who came together in Thrissur, a large town in the erstwhile State of Cochin (today regarded as the Cultural Capital of Kerala), to create a safe, efficient, and service-oriented repositories for the people.
