Shalimar has been serving the finest Mughlai cuisine in the city of Mumbai from the past four decades. It was initiated from being a small joint which served falooda and juices, to becoming a successful group of restaurants, fast foods and catering industry. It was established in the year 1970 by late Zainuddin Shaikh who was extremely hardworking and passionate about his food business and is now being overseen by his grandson Omaer Shaikh, a young and dynamic restaurateur who has inherited the restaurant business in his blood.. Omaer's father, Late Shahabuddin Shaikh was awarded for being the "Best Personality In Hotel Industry". He introduced global cuisines to the ever expanding menu of the restaurant and expanded Shalimar from being a small eatery to becoming the landmark for Multicuisine Food in Mumbai. Shalimar has always been a gourmet's delight due to its in-house grinding of masalas and butchering of live stock, keen check on the meat quality and the use of finest ingridients.
