Started in the year 1949. Celebrated 50th Golden Jubilee year 1999. Now successfully running in 60th Grand year. Had been the highest collection of entertainment in Uttarakhand from last 62 years. Renovated in cinema 1978, enhanced the capacity from 456 to 900 seats, without closing down the cinema for a single show which is a world record. Held many film premiere since 60 and 70. Prabhat Cinema is equipped with adequate safety measures. Two "Silver Jubilee" Sangam and Bobby and many "Hundred days and more" were screened here. Prabhat still endeavor to entertain the people of Doon Valley in a healthy family environment
