Maria Assumpta Convent Sr. Optional School is a minority Institution (Constitution of India Act, 30). It is a recoganized however un supported English Medium School, set up and managed by Roman Catholic Diocese of Bareilly, an altruistic Society (Registered Society) It was enlisted in Bareilly on 13.4.1989 under the Societies enrollment Act XXI of 1860. Maria Assumpta Convent Sr. Optional School was established on June 1988. It was set up by the then Roman Catholic Diocese of Lucknow with the object of granting present day training essentially to Catholic Students in a way that would moderate their "RELIGION, LANGUAGE, SCRIPT AND CULTURE", yet is available to all, independent of district, shading, rank, doctrine.
