About Us

The College is one of the Malankara Syrian Catholic Colleges in Thiruvananthapuram which was established and administered by the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum in line with the rights of the minority community guaranteed in the Constitution of India. The College offers Degree Courses in Economics, English (Aided and unaided), Commerce (Aided and unaided), Journalism and Mass Communication, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and Botany & Biotechnology. In addition to that, two Bachelor of Vocation (BVoc) programmes under Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Knowledge Acquisition and also focuses on the Upgradation of Skilled Human Abilities and Livelihood (DDU-KAUSHAL) Kendra, in Software Development and Tourism & Hospitality Management. The main Post-Graduate Programmes offered here include English, Malayalam with Media Studies, Commerce, Tourism & Travel Management (MTTM), Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Zoology. The Institution comprises of six Research Centres attached to the Departments of English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, and Commerce. Our institution ranked first in the University of Kerala to receive accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 1999.
