About Us
Ewing Christian College (ECC) is an autonomous constituent college, located in Allahabad city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Previously, the college was established in the year 1902 as a PG college, formerly known as the Allahabad Christian College. ECC has been granted with the status of “College with Potential for Excellence” by the UGC in the year 2005 and accredited by NAAC. The college was established by Arthur Henry Ewing, a prominent Presbyterian missionary and academician and also the first principal of the college. It became one of the best colleges for brilliance in higher education and research in India. This college is spread on a lush green area of 42 acres. At ECC, the academic structure is divided with 4 faculties, the Faculty of Science, the Faculty of Commerce, the Faculty of Teacher Education and the Faculty of Arts, which are divided into various departments and 8 self-financed centers/departments. ECC provides UG level programs in various specializations including Science, Arts and Commerce. It also provides PG courses in the area of Computer Application and Business Administration.
